Terms of Service
Last updated October 2, 2026
These terms apply to your use of pittsburghheatingrepair.info and to service requests made by phone or through the site. By using the site or requesting service, you agree to them.
Who performs the work
Pittsburgh Furnace Repair connects you with independent local HVAC technicians who perform the work. Every HVAC technician we send is licensed where Pennsylvania requires it, and insured. The technician who comes to your home is responsible for the diagnosis, the repair or installation, and any warranty they provide on their work and parts. Any agreement for work, including price, scope and warranty terms, is between you and that technician or their company.
Estimates and pricing
- The technician diagnoses the furnace and gives you the price before any work starts. You choose whether to proceed.
- A diagnostic or service-call charge may apply even if you decide not to go ahead with a repair. You will be told about it before dispatch.
- Nights, weekends and holidays may carry a different rate. You will be told before dispatch and before work begins.
- Larger jobs, such as a furnace replacement, should be covered by a written estimate or contract. Pennsylvania law requires a written contract for many home improvement jobs over $500.
- Under Pennsylvania's Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act, a home improvement contract generally gives you three business days to cancel after signing; the contract should explain how. You can check a contractor's registration on the Attorney General's contractor search.
- Nothing on this website is a price quote. Cost information in our guides is general and may cite figures published by other companies.
Scheduling and arrival times
Our phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Arrival times are estimates that depend on technician availability, weather, traffic and call volume, especially during cold snaps. We do not guarantee a specific arrival time unless one is confirmed to you in writing.
Safety
If you smell gas or a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility from outside before contacting us. This website and our phone line are not an emergency service and do not replace 911 or your gas utility. A technician may refuse to operate, or may shut down, equipment they find unsafe, and a gas utility may tag equipment out of service.
Website content
Our articles and service pages are general information about gas furnaces, written for Pittsburgh-area homes. They are not a diagnosis of your equipment and not professional, legal or financial advice. Never open a furnace's burner compartment, bypass a safety control, or work on gas lines or high-voltage wiring yourself.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Pittsburgh Furnace Repair is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this website, or for the acts or omissions of the independent technicians who perform the work. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Pennsylvania consumer protection law.
Privacy
How we handle information from calls and forms is described in our privacy policy.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. Pennsylvania law governs these terms. Questions? Call (321) 478-0693.
